Welcome and Introductions
Flo
Trujillo called the meeting to order at 9:30am and welcomed everyone. All
members present introduced themselves.

Membership &
Treasurer’s Report
Jose
discussed amount of funds available $2124.58.
Haven’t received many new memberships; three were received today!
a)
Last
official meeting was in spring 2013 via Adobe Connect.
b)
Not
enough time to nominate and elect new officers; no new motions or concerns were
expressed.
Active Status Update
Flo
talked briefly about this, and John Sandstrom mentioned that problems may arise
from us being both a SIG of NMLA and with National. Fees from National are going up; we haven’t
changed ours yet.
New Business
Flo
mentioned and encouraged everyone to participate and spread the word about “el Día
de los Niños y Libros.” She also gave out packets and showed New Mexico’s
Governor’s Proclamation.
General Announcements
Scholarships,
Hispanic Heritage Month, Bless Me Ultima (movie), Grants, Library Scholarships,
and Noche de Cuentos.
