Bless Me, Ultima Day on April 23, 2012
Proclamation from Governor Martinez to honor "Ultima" in New Mexico!
Regardless of what anyone thinks about the work of art by native Pastura author, Rudolfo A. Anaya, the world sat up and took notice of his talent 40 years ago with "Bless Me, Ultima" first published by Quinto Sol Publications.
It is personal to me because of my connection to Santa Rosa... it is my birthplace. Ultima is "the most widely read and critically acclaimed novel in the Chicano literary canon" noted in the Governor's proclamation.

I know "Rudy" as he likes to be known and I look foward to the movie coming in the fall of 2012!
