Carlos Hernandez, author and illustrator of Sal & Gabi Break the Universe, was named winner of the Author Award for the 2020 Pura Belpré. These awards were announced on January 27th, by the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC), a division of ALA and National Association to Promote Library and Information Services to Latinos and the Spanish-speaking (REFORMA), during the ALA Midwinter Meeting held Jan. 24-28, in Philadelphia.
