2.   Last board meeting minutes, March 15, 2007
Recognized but minutes were not read at the meeting.

3.   Treasurer’s Report & Membership Report
Jose Luis Aranda, who was previously the last Treasurer was on hand to share that REFORMA de Nuevo Mexico had over $2500 in funds.  Due to the inactive status of REFORMA de Nuevo Mexico we were unable to have a full membership report.  Five past members from the attendance list were recognized as current members.  Jose will be contacting NATIONAL REFORMA to inform them that we are an active organization and to make sure that any memberships for New Mexico are recognized and funds sent back to REFORMA de Nuevo Mexico.  Everyone in attendance was asked to please join the membership and the REFORMA de Nuevo Mexico blog to show support at http://reformanm.blogspot.com/  One of the attending participants checked on her iPad and noticed that when downloading membership information, New Mexico is not one of the recognized active groups.  Membership will be paid by grant supported to activate REFORMA de Nuevo Mexico.  It may only be $25.00 reimbursement, but it is a start and the funds will be coming back to REFORMA De Nuevo Mexico.  Flo will be emailing everyone the minutes and blog information along with the update for the reimbursement after registering on the National REFORMA site for REFORMA de Nuevo Mexico.  Currently, 38 will be posted on the REFORMA de Nuevo email list.  Anyone receiving the email can email ftrujill@infoway.org to be removed from receiving future emails.

4.   Día de los Niños
First on the agenda for REFORMA de Nuevo Mexico is to get every youth organization, library and afterschool program to register an event they are doing for the month of April and/or May.  The team was to take back information to share with list servs about the international literacy day started by New Mexico author, Pat Mora over 16 years ago.  Joy Poole mentioned she had over 15 sites and could not find the time to enter each one individually.  One suggestion was to include a poster or an event that lists all of the sites, the other was to encourage the sites that are doing it to register on their own so they will know they are being recognized.  This event is important and a proclamation from Latina Governor, Susana Martinez was requested by Flo and will be sent out to all registered participants by mail (with a possible autographed book by Pat Mora) and emailed as a jpg to post or send to media in NM.  The Governor mentioned in the State of the State address in January 2012 that she would like to use the sale of the Jet ($500,000) to get a book in every first graders hands.  Flo mentioned that she has sent several emails and letters to the Governor stating the importance of also getting a library card in every child's hand, to create life-long library users and  get every child-teen-family to register for summer reading to encourage them to read during the summer months.  It would be important for REFORMA de Nuevo Mexico along with the New Mexico State Library and New Mexico Cultural Affairs to work with the Governor and share our enthusiam in helping this message be a positive one for literacy and libraries.
5.   Officers
a.    President
