New Mexico Summer Refugee Quarterly Coordination
Meeting (QCM), to be held Wednesday,
July 13, from
9:30 a.m. through noon. Tentatively, the
meeting will be held at the Albuquerque Museum Auditorium at
2000 Mountain Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87104 (Meeting location should be finalized before the end of the week).
Quarterly Coordination Meetings
are convened with: 1) representatives of local resettlement agencies;
2) state agencies; 3) local government agencies, and 4) local service
agencies. The purpose of these meetings is to
plan and coordinate the placement of refugees in advance of their
arrival. Secondary objectives include: 1) enhance communication among
agencies serving refugees; 2) identify gaps and overlaps in services
provided to refugees to more effectively use resources; and 3) identify
additional funding sources to enhance services provided to refugees.
