Día: Children's day, Book Day / El día de los niños, El día de los libros Dear Members of Día’s National Family, Last April in DC and across the country, we celebrated Día's 20th Anniversary. Let's build on that excitement as we plan April 2017 culminating Día celebrations, another year of sharing bookjoy with all our children and their families—day by day, día por día, all children, all cultures, all languages. I hope you find this planning booklet helpful. Gracias to our dedicated partners at the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) for maintaining their registry, a fine way for you to promote your event. I’m also so excited about ALSC’s new downloadable logos. This is a preview of what ALSC is creating. Yea ALSC! Thanks to First Book for again coordinating the Mora Award, and to AFT and other partners for helping us promote this Día literacy initiative. The twentieth Anniversary of Tomás and the Library Lady? How is this possible? As I say in the Tomás section of my site, I had the pleasure and honor of knowing Dr. Tomás Rivera.
