Hatch Chile Festival - August 30 & 31

The Hatch Chile Festival is an annual celebration of the famous Hatch chile in Hatch, New Mexico, held every Labor Day weekend, featuring a parade, carnival rides, chile vendors, roasting demonstrations, eating contests, and various food options all centered around the unique flavor of the Hatch chile. The festival, which began in 1971, has grown into a large event attracting tens of thousands of visitors eager to experience New Mexico's chile harvest and culture.

Enjoy Nanny’s Petting Zoo, performances from Voces de Coronado and Ballet Folklorico Fiesta Mexicana, student films, and our Youth Art Market. Learn about birds and bugs with the U.S. Forest Service. Make art, play, climb a rock wall and discover a variety of community resources from the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science, UNM Early Childhood Services Center, Explora, New Mexico PBS, Kids Cook, Bernalillo County Public Library and many more!
